Classes Offered:

EKG /Cardio Technician

The student taking this course will gain knowledge in the basic anatomy and physiology of the heart and circulatory system including cardiopulmonary circulation, coronary blood supply, and the electrical basis of electrocardiology.  The student will learn cardiac medications and treatments.  The student will be able to identify EKG wave forms, interval, segments and complexes.  The student will become proficient with EKG techniques and interpretations.  In addition, the student will learn placement of leads for a Holter monitor, and stress testing along with contraindications. Upon completion of the course, the student will be eligable to  take the NHA national certification and the CCI certification exams.

Participant Eligibility:

  1.  The student must have a high school diploma or GED.
  2.  Medical Terminology is recommended but not required.

Classes will be held at In Training College

Program Day and Times
Fridays from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. 21 week program.


  1. Course fee includes books and supplies.
  2. Class size is limited and subject to cancellation due to low enrollment

Upon completion of this course, the student will take the NHA certification exam and will be eligible to sit for the Certified Cardiographic technician exam given by CCI.(Certification fees is the responsibility of the student).
