Classes Offered:

Medical Assisting

This Program is designed to give the students basic knowledge to gain employment as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting. Students will obtain a National Certification in Medical Assisting. The areas of study include; Medical Terms, Anatomy & Physiology (including the diseases of the body), CPR and first aid training. Along with office procedures such as; Reception, Scheduling, Communications, Law and Ethics, and Medical Billing and Coding.

The students will also learn the basics of Pharmacology and medication administration techniques, with patient assessment and assisting the physician with examinations and minor office surgeries. The back office procedures such as EKG testing, phlebotomy and the in-office lab testing will be covered. Previous medical education is not necessary but would be helpful.

Participant Eligibility:

1. High School Diploma, G.E.D. or high school transcripts.

2. Student enrolling  must pass a color-blindness test. This test will be given at the time of enrollement.

3. Must have proof of health insurance or have it by the time clinical training begins.

Program Location:

The classes will be held here at the College. The clinical portion of the program will be held at hospitals, laboratories, medical offices, and or clinics. The clinicals will be deternimed by the program director.


Program Days and Times:

Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Some Saturdays


Total Program approximately 12-13 months, which includes the clinical portion.



1. Call In Training College for an appointment.

2. $100.00 deposit due at enrollment.  Course fee is $3500 does not include books.

3. Course fee does not include certification exam fees.

4. Class size is limited and subject to cancellation due to low enrollment.


Upon successful completion of the classroom and clinical training the student will be eligible to sit for the Clinical Medical Assistant exam through the NHA.
