Upcoming course offerings:

Medical Assistant

Next class start date:

May 21st, 2024

The next medical assistant class will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This course is 10/11 months long and will include rotations of 160 hours.

Pharmacy Technician

Next class start date:

April 25, 2024

The next pharmacy technician course will be on Thursday evenings from 5 pm to 9 pm. This is a 17-week course. There are required rotation hours from the Board of Pharmacy. This is 140 hours in a facility and 20 hours of lab time, which will be completed during the course. This is an approved course by the Indiana Board of Pharmacy.

Medical Billing & Coding

Next class start date:

June 7, 2024

The next medical billing and coding class will be on Friday evenings from 5 pm to 9 pm. This course is 31 weeks long.  Upon completion, students are eligible to take the national certification exam given by the National Healthcare Association (NHA). Students are responsible for the NHA exam fee if they wish to become nationally certified. 

Electrocardiogram (EKG) Technician

May 10. 2024

The next EKG class will be on Fridays from 9 am to 1 pm. The EKG course is 20 weeks long. There will be lab times scheduled after 1 pm for which the instructor will schedule the dates. Upon completion the student will be eligible to sit for the CET National exam through the NHA and will be eligible to sit for the CCI exam.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Next class start date: 

May 14, 2024

Students must pass a pre-entry exam that is required by the State in order to enroll. Total training time will be 36 hours of classroom instruction and then 80 hours of clinical rotations. This is an Indiana State Department of Health-approved course to become a CNA. After completion of the course, students are eligible to take the State exam at an Ivy Tech facility. 

Phlebotomy Technician

Monday- May 6, 2024

Tuesday- TBA

The phlebotomy technician class will be on Monday evenings, 5pm-9pm or Tuesday afternoons from 12 pm to 4 pm. This is a 14-week class course, then there will be 3 weeks of rotations in a hospital setting or doctor's office. Students will be eligible to take the ASCP to obtain their national exam.
